Pine, Linden, Oak, Maple, Laurel and Overlook Hall students are required to purchase a meal plan for each semester. The Village and College Park Apartments are encouraged to purchase a meal plan, however it is not required. Students may change their meal plan up to 100 % refund date (the refund date applies only to meal plans) published in the academic calendar, Schedule of Classes . Students should call or visit the office of Residence Life in C-213 for further information.

Meal Plan participants must present a valid College ID card to use their Meal Plan or Flex and Ramapo Dollars. Meal Plans are non-transferable and may not be used by anyone other than the owner of the ID. Lost ID cards must be reported to Dining Services and Security within three business days.

As a common courtesy to others, guests are asked to place food, dishes, trays, utensils etc, in the provided receptacles when leaving, this rule also applies to all outside eating areas. Food and service ware may not be removed from the dining area.


Most special diets can be accommodated. Requests for special food for medical, religious, cultural, or other reasons should be directed to the Dining Services Office in The Atrium. Students who are ill or disabled and cannot get to one of the student restaurants can make arrangements for a boxed meal in advance with the restaurant manager. A friend of the student should present a valid ID and signed note at time of pick-up.

Students who must miss a meal or want to eat and run can arrange for a boxed meal only at the time of entry to the student restaurant. Carry-out is not available to Ultimate Plan participants or at Late Night Dining.


Ramapo Dollars can be purchased (by using cash or checks) in any amount at the Dining Services Office which is located in Atrium. The Atrium is open Monday through Friday during normal business hours. In addition, you may request to have Ramapo Dollars billed directly to your student account. You must send your request to mealplan@ramapo.edu via your Ramapo e-mail account only. Please be sure to include your complete first and last name, your Banner ID Number (R#) and the requested Ramapo Dollar amount. If Ramapo Dollars are purchased between July 1st and September 1st during the Fall 2007 semester or between December 1st and January 1st during the Spring 2008 semester, a 5% bonus will be applied to your Ramapo Dollar purchase. Please allow at least 72 hours for any meal plan or Ramapo Dollar transactions to be processed. Ramapo Dollars are NOT refundable.
