Accepted Students Checklist
You’ve been accepted to Ramapo College of New Jersey and are now ready to become a New Roadrunner! Your first step is to submit your Enrollment Deposit. Follow the steps in item #1 below.
Please submit your deposit as soon as possible.
If you wish to visit Ramapo College one last time before making your decision sign up for a Campus Tour. Tours are available the week leading up to May 1, M-F at 1:00 p.m.
1. Pay Your Enrollment Deposit
To reserve a place in the fall class and request on-campus housing, you must submit your deposit. You may submit your deposit electronically or by postal mail.
If you wish to submit your deposit by postal mail, simply return the Acceptance Card found in your admission packet to the Office of Admissions as soon as possible. Include a check or money order for $300 if you will be living on campus or a check for $100 if you will be commuting.
If you wish to submit your deposit electronically, visit www.ramapo.edu/paymydeposit. It is important to follow (print) the directions found on the landing page before entering the payment portal.
The deposit is credited toward your charges for the fall semester. If housing is desired, it must be requested at the same time your deposit is submitted. *While your admissions deposit portion ($100) is non-refundable, the housing deposit portion ($200) is refundable if a written withdrawal request is received by the Office of Admissions by May 1, 2015. After that date the housing deposit is non-refundable.

3. ACTIVATE your ramapo e-mail account
Now that you are a Ramapo student, you will need to activate your e-mail account and take advantage of the College’s MyRamapo portal.
The portal gives you access to Web Registration, paying your bill, reviewing your account, e-mail, your personal calendar, groups (including your graduating class), course tools and more.
Activating your e-mail account is easy. You will need your Ramapo ID (“R” number which was included in your acceptance letter) and your date of birth. Setup
Once you have activated your e-mail, you can log into the MyRamapo portal. Please disable any pop-up blocker. In the “user name” box, please type in your Ramapo e-mail address (without @ramapo.edu) and your NEW password. Login
4. Complete your advisement questionnaire
For First-Year Students Only: A link to the Advisement Questionnaire will be emailed to your Ramapo e-mail address beginning April 1st. Please complete this survey by May 16th or upon receipt in order to assist with your Fall 2015 course registration. If you have questions regarding the questionnaire or advisement, you may contact the Center for Student Success at email@example.com or 201-684-7441.
5. take the accuplacer placement test or receive an exemption
Students admitted for the fall 2015 with SAT scores of 560 or higher in Critical Reading and 560 or higher in mathematics or an ACT Composite score of 26 are exempt from the ACCUPLACER Placement Test. All students intending to study in a major that requires Calculus, Pre-Calculus or Discrete Structures must take the College Level Math (CLM) Test before registering for courses. If you have questions or wish to schedule an appointment for testing please visit Testing or call (201) 684-7543. All needed testing must be completed prior to attending orientation in order to register for classes.

9. on-campus housing information
Interest in campus housing has been unprecedented. More than 80% of new freshmen and 40% of transfer students choose to live on campus.
Important information pertaining to campus residency for the fall 2015 semester will be sent out to all new students in early June 2015. This information will be sent to you via postal mail. More details will be posted shortly.
10. immunization Requirements
All new freshmen and new transfer students who will be taking classes at Ramapo College are required to complete and return the Immunization Form. Students planning to reside in college housing must also submit proof that you have received the meningitis vaccine. Failure to submit this documentation will prohibit you from living on campus after your initial semester. All new students are also required to have a tuberculosis (TB) test no more than 6 months prior to your admission to Ramapo College of New Jersey. The Immunization Form is available HERE and can be sent to Student Health Services via mail or fax – (201) 684-7534.
11. Attend Orientation/Meet with an Academic AdvisOr to Select Classes
New students learn about the campus, its services, and the curriculum during New Student Orientation. Activities are scheduled to help students begin to make friends and feel at home in a new environment. The Center for Student Success oversees all aspects of the New Student Orientation process, working with the Advisement Center to introduce the curricular and co-curricular elements of the college experience. Further information and invitation to orientation will be mailed to you after you submit your Acceptance Card. Dates for fall orientation will be posted in the New Year. Questions? A. Office of Specialized Services
Ramapo College has a strong commitment to providing equal access for all students and supports the protections available to students with disabilities under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
To arrange classroom and testing accommodations, student with documented physical, learning, or psychological disabilities must register with the Office of Specialized Services (OSS). Academic support services are also available to matriculated students.

13. Cost Information
For the current tuition, fees, room and board charges, visit Bursar / Cost Info. Final costs for the fall 2015 will be finalized after July 1, 2015. It is easy to pay your bill on-line. Visit Bursar / Cost Info and log into the system. You will not receive a paper bill in the mail. Questions? Call (201) 684-7495.
Effective January 1, 2015, non-resident students enrolled at Ramapo College of New Jersey who meet the established New Jersey criteria will qualify to be charged in-state tuition. All students wishing to pursue this eligibility must complete an application and affidavit as outlined in NJ state bill, P.L. 2013, c.170 (or as amended).
Newly admitted or enrolled students wishing to qualify for in-state rates must complete the New Jersey Status Affidavit for In-State Tuition Request form (DOC).
