Ramapo College Arts Faculty to Exhibit Their Work
(Mahwah) - An exhibit of works by full-time faculty and staff who teach studio art in the School of Contemporary Arts at Ramapo College of New Jersey will open March 26 in the Kresge and Pascal Galleries on campus. There will be an opening reception on March 26 from 5 - 7 p.m.; an artists' talk will begin at 6 p.m. The exhibit continues through April 24.
The artists featured include Stephanie Bursese, Photo Lab supervisor and adjunct professor of Photography of Jersey City; Shalom Gorewitz, professor of Video Art and New Media of New York City; Stephen Jablonsky, assistant professor of Digital Media of Beacon, NY; Ann LePore, Macintosh System Specialist and adjunct professor of Art and Technology of Jersey City; Jonathan Lipkin, professor of Computer Art of New York City; Irina Nakhova, assistant professor of Painting and Drawing of Sea Girt; Judith Peck, professor of Art of Mahwah; Jacquelyn Skrzynski, coordinator of Advisement and adjunct professor of Visual Arts of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY; Matthew Swarts, assistant professor of Photography/Digital Media of Mountainside; Warner Wada, professor of Painting of New York City, and Jay Wholley, professor of Art of Carversville, PA.
"While this show is incomplete in the sense in that it doesn't showcase all of our talented adjuncts, it does provide a full spectrum of strong works in diverse media ranging from video installation to drawing to photography," said Sydney Jenkins, director of the galleries.
This program is made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
The Kresge and Pascal Galleries are located in the Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts at Ramapo College. Hours are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. and Wednesday, 1 to 7 p.m. For more information, call 201.684.7147.
