Adaptation of The Secret Life of Bees
on Stage at Ramapo College
(Mahwah) - The American Place Theatre’s Literature to Life Series presents The Secret Life of Bees Sunday, February 3 at 3 p.m. and Monday, February 4, 3:45 p.m. in the Sharp Theater on the campus of Ramapo College of New Jersey.
Actress Denise Wilbanks stars in this verbatim theatrical adaptation of the book by Sue Monk Kidd set in the South during the Civil Rights Movement. The story follows a young girl’s search for the truth about her mother, one that leads her to three beekeeping sisters and the discovery of inner strength and the meaning of family. The performance adapted and directed by Wynn Handman, features pre- and post-performance discussions.
All seats are $10. The Sharp Theater is located in the Angelica and Russ Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts on the Ramapo College campus. For more information call 201.684.7844.
