Quartet San Francisco will Perform an
Eclectic Program at Ramapo College
(Mahwah) – The Quartet San Francisco will present an eclectic repertoire including music by Stevie Wonder, Chick Corea and Astor Piazzolla Friday, October 12 at 8 p.m. in the Sharp Theater on the campus of Ramapo College of New Jersey.
The 2007 two-time Grammy nominated quartet bends the chamber genre. From tango to pop to jazz, they are not a typical chamber group. Passionate jazz performers who are playful and non-traditional in their delivery, the Quartet San Francisco redefines the sound of chamber music and leaves concert-goers with a new appreciation for what can be accomplished by eight hands and 16 strings.
Tickets for the Quartet San Francisco are $26, $23 and $20 for adults and $5 for children under 17. Senior citizens are eligible for a five percent discount. The Sharp Theater is located in the Angelica and Russ Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts on the Ramapo College campus. For more information call 201.684.7844.
This program is made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
