Area residents are invited to join its corps of volunteers, who work as ushers, greeters and gallery helpers. Volunteers will receive training and one pair of tickets per semester. Les Yeux Noir: Direct from Paris! Gypsy-Klezmer Music, Tales from the Beijing Opera, and the John Waters Film Festival follow shortly, while The Moscow Boys Choir and Christmas from Dublin will close out the year. The art galleries open on Wednesday, September 13 with an opening reception at 5 p.m. for Palpable Painting, works by artists who teach in the area, in the Pascal and Kresge Galleries, and conceptual artist Andor Orand performing in the Lobby Atrium of the Berrie Center.
