Animal Farm (A Puppet Musical) to Be Staged at Ramapo College
(Mahwah) – Animal Farm (A Puppet Musical) will be performed Friday, December 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sharp Theater on the campus of Ramapo College of New Jersey.
Presented by Synapse Productions, and based on the Royal National Theatre’s production of Orwell’s most famous work, this full-body puppet musical brings the classic to life. While the themes of Animal Farm are serious, their form in the production is naïve and childlike. The puppets immediately transport the audience, both young and old, into a fantasy world barnyard of idealistic animals. Davis Travis directs the production and Peter Hall adapted the text.
Tickets for Animal Farm are $20 for adults, $17 for senior citizens and $12 youth. The Sharp Theater is located at the Angelica and Russ Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts on the Ramapo College campus. For more information call 201.684.7844.
This program is made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
