Composer and Trumpeter Clark Terry and His All-Stars to “Jazz It Up” at Ramapo College
(Mahwah) – Jazz at the Berrie Center presents The Clark Terry All-Stars Saturday, December 3 at 8 p.m. in the Sharp Theater on the campus of Ramapo College of New Jersey.
Clark Terry’s career in jazz spans more than 60 years as a world-class trumpeter, flügelhornist, educator and NEA Jazz Master. In addition to composing more than 200 jazz songs, he has performed for seven U.S. presidents, and was a jazz ambassador for State Department tours in the Middle East and Africa.
His donation of his extensive personal jazz archive to William Paterson University earlier this year made headlines. This is Terry’s first appearance at the Berrie Center, accompanied by an all-star ensemble.
Tickets for the performance are $24 for adults, $21 for senior citizens and $12 for youth. The Sharp Theater is located at the Angelica and Russ Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts on the Ramapo College campus. For more information call 201.684.7844.
This program is made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
