Tony
Award Winner Donna McKechnie Will Perform At
Ramapo College
(Mahwah) – “An
Evening with Donna McKechnie: One Singular Sensation!” will
be presented in the Sharp Theater on the
campus of Ramapo College of New Jersey on
Saturday, May 14 at 8 p.m.
McKechnie, best known for her Tony Award-winning performance
as Cassie in A Chorus Line, is regarded internationally
as one of Broadway’s foremost dancing and singing stars. She
has garnered a Backstage Bistro Award and
rave reviews for her cabaret show, My Musical Comedy Life, which she
brings to the Berrie Center in an evening of song and dance.
McKechnie's Broadway credits include: How to Succeed in
Business Without Really Trying; A Funny Thing Happened
on the Way to the Forum (national tour); The Education
of Hyman Kaplan; Sondheim – A Musical Tribute (which
she also choreographed); On the Town; Promises,
Promises; and State Fair, for which she received
the Fred Astaire Award for Best Female
Dancer for the 1995-1996 season.
Tickets
for “An Evening with Donna McKechnie” are
$27 for adults; $24 for senior citizens and $15 for youth. The
Sharp Theater is located at the Angelica and Russ Berrie Center
for Performing and Visual Arts on the Ramapo College campus. For
