Francis
J. Rodriguez Appointed To Ramapo College Foundation’s Board
of Governors
(Mahwah) – The
Ramapo College Foundation announced the appointment
of Francis J. Rodriguez, M.S., CPhT of Midland Park to its Board
of Governors. Mr.
Rodriguez is a senior consultant with RCC
Consultants, Inc. of Woodbridge. He
will assist the Foundation in fulfilling
its mission to “provide
the resources that make the difference in
Ramapo College’s
quest for educational excellence.”
RCC
Consultants is an international telecommunications
consulting, integration and outsourcing firm that provides solutions
to its clients' problems through the application of both wireless
and wired communications and information technologies. Rodriguez
is a graduate of Columbia University. He serves as president of the Friends of Ramapo
College and is that organization’s board liaison. In
addition, he is a member of the Ramapo College
Business Network Committee.
“We are pleased to have Mr. Rodriguez serve on the Ramapo
College Foundation’s Board of Governors,” says W. Sanborn
Pfeiffer, interim president of the College. “Technology-based
corporations play an integral role in the state’s economy. Mr.
Rodriguez is a model of success who can have
a significant impact on our students.”
In
his role as consultant, he brings to governmental and commercial
clients expertise in the design and regulatory aspects of radio
communications systems, and experience in assisting zoning
and planning boards in evaluating cell
tower site proposals. He is a founding member of the National Spectrum
Managers’ Association, Member Emeritus
of the American Society for Photogrammetry & Remote Sensing and commercial
member of the Association of Public-Safety
Communications Officers. In
November of this year, he was elevated
to Fellow of
The Radio Club of America.
In
addition to his professional responsibilities, Mr. Rodriguez, a
member of MENSA, also serves in a variety of public health related
capacities: member of the editorial advisory board of the American
Pharmaceutical Association’s national periodical, Pharmacy
Today, president of the Midland Park Board of Health, president
of the Northwest Bergen Regional Health Commission, acting secretary
of the Bergen County Pharmaceutical Society and treasurer of the
New Jersey Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists-North Chapter. He
is the recipient of the 2004 Presidential Award bestowed by
the New Jersey Pharmacists Association for
service to the profession of pharmacy.

for helping to fund student scholarships
during this time of rising college costs.”
Members
of the Board of Governors act as ambassadors for the College and
the Foundation, actively participate on committees, and ensure
the Foundation’s legal, financial, and ethical integrity. They
also support Foundation events including the Distinguished Citizens
Dinner, annual golf outing and performing arts dinner series. Proceeds
from these events help to fund student scholarships,
faculty research and College projects.
