The Ramapo Chorale Presents A Winter Concert
(Mahwah) – The
Ramapo Chorale will present “A Winter Concert,” an eclectic
mix of jazz, classical, folk and gospel music on Tuesday, December
14 at 8 p.m. in the Sharp Theater on the campus of Ramapo College
of New Jersey. Admission to the performance is free.
The
Ramapo Chorale, directed by Barbara Gordon,
an assistant professor of vocal music performance at the College,
traditionally presents choral works culled from many eras and from
different genres. They
will perform “Amazing Grace,” Joseph Haydn’s “Sanctus,” “Blow,
Blow, Thou Winter Wind” by contemporary composer John Rutter,
Samuel Barber’s “Sure On This Shining Night” and
Irving Berlin’s classic, “I’ve Got My Love To Keep
Me Warm.” In addition, Hungarian folksongs will be performed
as well as a Bach cantata duet with accompaniment by violin and piano
by two of Ramapo College’s voice majors.
