Ramapo
College will host a study tour of graduates
from Britain’s
Top Management Programme, the equivalent
of the ACE Fellows Program and Harvard’s Institute for Educational
Management.
As Britain’s higher education system undergoes radical changes
to a fee-structured system, the group is interested in how things
work, why they work, what’s cutting edge and how U.S. institutions
handle the issues that are on the horizon
for British universities.
Participants
are at the level right below vice chancellor, the British equivalent
of a U.S. president/chancellor at a college or university. The
goals of the visit are to explore alternative perspectives on policy
issues: widening participation and variable fee charges and
bursaries, sharing experiences of key leadership
and management development challenges,
organizing and delivering services and establishing and extending
networks of senior staff.
The four to six visitors making the trip will also tour City University
of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center, Fordham University and SUNY Purchase.
If you would like to sit in on the meetings, interview any of the
British guests or senior administrative personnel representing Ramapo
College, please contact Bonnie Franklin, assistant vice president
for communications and public affairs, at 201.684-6844 or bfrankli@ramapo.edu
