Visual Arts Faculty Exhibit Recent
Work At Ramapo College
(Mahwah) - Faculty Exhibition 2004, featuring recent works by visual arts faculty in the School of Contemporary Arts at Ramapo College of New Jersey, will open Wednesday, September 15 in the Kresge and Pascal galleries, located in the Berrie Center. A reception and opportunity to meet the artists is scheduled Wednesday, September 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. with artists' talks beginning at 6 p.m. The exhibit continues through October 20.
This is the first group exhibition featuring full-time faculty in the Berrie Center galleries in four years. The exhibit will include work by new adjuncts as well. Artists include:
Dimitri Devyatkin: videographer and new adjunct
David Freund: color photo diptychs from his new History of Oranges series
Shalom Gorewitz: multi-media video installation in the galleries and lobby, motion-activated and with political content
Rachelle Mozman: new adjunct, color photographs of people
Judith Peck: cast metal human figure works
Jackie Skrzynski: charcoal drawings which reference the human figure and animals in disturbing ways
Fred Strype: short and feature-length films on VHS
Warner Wada: large-scale (floor to ceiling) photographic prints of architecture and objects
Jay Wholley: sculptures and mixed media works on paper
The Kresge and Pascal galleries are openTuesday, Thursday and Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. and Wednesdays from 1 to 7 p.m.
