Ramapo College Study Abroad Participants Reunite
(Mahwah) - Study abroad programs provide a valuable educational opportunity and often leave a lifelong impact on students who participate in them. This is particularly true of Ramapo College of New Jersey alumni who traveled to Costa Rica as students.
The College's Alumni Association will host a reunion for all students who participated during the past 14 years in the study abroad program to Costa Rica. The event is scheduled Sunday, April 18 at noon in The Pavilion on campus.
Alumni and their spouses, children and friends are invited to attend. A Costa Rican-style lunch will be held in the Trustees Pavilion. Dr. Richard Lowell, an associate professor of biology and director of Ramapo's study abroad program to Costa Rica and Central America, will present a slide show about the country's ecology. There are also children's activities planned.
The cost for the reunion is $15 for adults and $25 for families. Participants are encouraged to arrive early to share photo albums and reminisce about their experiences in Costa Rica.
