Ramapo College Accounting Professor Receives
Outstanding Educator Award

(Mahwah) - Raymond Rigoli, M.B.A., C.P.A. and an associate professor of accounting at Ramapo College of New Jersey, is the recipient of the 2003/2004 New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants' Outstanding Educator Award.

The NJSCPA is recognizing Rigoli for his significant contributions to accounting education through his teaching and his active involvement in the profession. Rigoli has been teaching accounting for more than 20 years. Prior to that, he was with the accounting firm, Price Waterhouse.

I've been an active member of the society and serve on its Educators Committee, formed for accountants who are teaching," says Rigoli. The professor is also a member of the Scholarship Committee and participates in the annual Scholars Institute, a two-day intensive program held at Monmouth College that draws the top accounting students in the state.

Rigoli is honored to receive the Outstanding Educator Award. A lot of the folks who have been nominated in the past were my mentors. I aspired to be as effective as they were. I've dedicated myself to this field. I get joy from what I do and helping students."

The professor lives in Wayne with his wife Kelly, seven-year-old son Tyler, and three-year-old daughter Nicole. The award will be presented to him at the NJSCPA Scholarship Awards Ceremony in April.
