Ramapo College Professor and Student are Presenters at Conference in Sarajevo

(Mahwah) - William J. Frech, Ph.D. of Franklin Lakes, a professor of international business and marketing at Ramapo College of New Jersey, and Jasmina Bisanovic of Mahwah, an M.B.A. candidate at the College, recently traveled to Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina to present at a conference.

The two co-authored a paper, "Globalization in the United States, Europe and Russia--Three Perspectives," that centered on the political, social and economic aspects of globalization in three cultures. They presented it at the 2003 International Conference of the Faculty of Economics held October 9 through 11 held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The focus of the conference was the economic transition of post communist countries in the age of globalization. More than 200 professors and professionals from Europe and the Balkan countries attended.

Bisanovic is a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is a graduate of Ramapo College who majored in International Business. She is now enrolled in the College's M.B.A. program. Frech is the convener of Ramapo's international business program and a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Sarajevo in 2000.
