Hebrew Classes at Ramapo College are Open to the Community
(Mahwah) The Judaic Studies program at Ramapo College of New Jersey recently began offering Hebrew language courses. Geared to college students and the adult community, the courses will be offered in the evening. The spring 2002 semester course, Foundations of Hebrew II, a four-credit course, is scheduled Thursday evenings from 6 to 9:30 p.m. beginning January 29. The class includes online tutorial interaction. Miriam J. Peled, who studied in Israel for 10 years and taught Hebrew in several synagogue Hebrew schools, is the instructor.
In addition to the new courses in Hebrew, Ramapo has a comprehensive language program with a state-of-the-art language lab, minors in Spanish, Italian and French, and additional courses in Chinese, Japanese, German and Russian. Registration is available online at www.ramapo.edu/register. For more information, call Dr. Rosetta DAngelo, (201) 684-7408. return to top
