Tennessee Williams, legendary playwright of such American classics as A Streetcar Named Desire and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, created these six short plays that are among his finest and most powerful work:
The Strangest Kind of Romance
A Perfect Analysis Given by a Parrot
27 Wagons Full of Cotton
Lord Byron's Love Letter
This Property is Condemned
The Long Goodbye
Rarely produced, these plays present a condensed and often comic form of
Williams' vision, depicting the perception of life as it is, and the passion for life as it ought to be. Unique for their insight into human nature and the irony of human experience, these short plays are brilliant dramatic gems that shimmer with the poetic insight into the basic meaning of life - its humor or its tragedy, its bravery, and the quality of its love, in that style that only Tennessee can give us.
