Ramapo College Invites Students To
Complete The Admissions Process In Just One Day

(Mahwah) -- Immediate Decision Day, Ramapo College of New Jersey's antidote to the stress of the college selection and application process, is an opportunity to apply and receive a notice of acceptance in just one day. Seven Immediate Decision Days are scheduled this fall. On the appointed day, students can submit their applications, have an admissions interview and receive an acceptance notice, all on the same day and all before the start of the new year. In addition, students who are eligible for a scholarship will be offered one at that time.

On the day of their visit, high school seniors and their families will receive information about the college, tour the campus including the residence halls, attend a class and then have lunch in the student dining hall. They also will meet individually with an admissions officer. Students considered for the program must be in the top 40 percent of their graduating class with SAT scores of at least 1080. Those who do not meet these criteria may still apply to Ramapo through the regular application process in which more time is needed to reach a decision and additional senior year information may be required.

Students who are eligible for a scholarship will be notified at the end of the program. To be considered for one of these awards, a student must be an academic achiever in the top 20 percent of his/her graduating class with combined SAT scores of at least 1250 and a record of school or community activities. These special scholarship awards are for four years provided the required grade point average is maintained. Scholarships include tuition and fees, residence hall rooms, or a combination of both. Immediate Decision Days are scheduled October 30, November 9, November 29, December 5, December 12 and December 18.
