Giselle, Act II To Be First Public Performance In Ramapos

(Mahwah) The New York area premiere of Kozlov Dance Internationals production of Giselle, Act II, the first public performance in Ramapo College of New Jerseys new Angelica and Russ Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts, is scheduled Saturday, June 12 at 7 p.m. in the Sharp Theater. The program will also include Paquita, with music by Leon Minkus and choreography by Leonid Kozlov after Marius Petipa. Adam Adolphe is the composer of Giselle, which was choreographed by Jules Perrot and Jean Coralli.
Vladimir Dolgikh, visiting guest artist and principal dancer with the National Ballet of Belarus, will perform the role of Prince Albrecht in Giselle. Vladimir Dvorovenko, former principal dancer with the Virsky Dance Company of Kiev, will appear as Hilarion. Leonid Kozlov, former principal dancer of the Bolshoi Ballet and New York City Ballet and the Kozlovs founder and artistic director, will perform as Cavalier in Paquita. In addition, advanced members of Kozlov Dance Internationals Youth Ensemble will perform. Costumes and sets for Giselle were created in Moscow and Minsk.
