Center For Interreligious Understanding
At Ramapo Announces Move To Englewood
(Mahwah, NJ) - Dr. Robert A. Scott, president of Ramapo College of New Jersey, announced today that the Center for Interreligious Understanding will move to Englewood and focus on Christian-Jewish dialogue. The College will continue to develop and expand its scholarly and educational programs related to global perspectives on world religions and the need for a culture of peace.
The Center, directed by Rabbi Jack Bemporad, has helped establish numerous breakthroughs in Jewish-Christian understanding by working directly with the national and international Catholic and Protestant bodies.
The Center and the College will continue to collaborate
by drawing upon each other's strengths and interests - dialogue
on the one hand and scholarship and education on the other.
