Dr. Robert A. Scott, president emeritus, received the Wallenberg Humanitarian Award from presenter Elaine Adler at an annual dinner hosted by the Center for Holocaust & Genocide Studies at Ramapo College of New Jersey.

A Day Without Art, December 1, brings awareness of the devastating losses in the art world due to AIDS. Students at Ramapo commemorated the day by covering many of the beautiful sculptures that grace the campus. Shown below is Robert Modafferi, of Various Visual Artist (VVA), the sponsoring group on campus, wrapping the Arch for one day to show how beauty and the people who create it should never be taken for granted.

In October, faculty and staff showed the spirit of giving by raising funds to help women with breast cancer and their families. Doreen Janes and Janet Murphy are pictured in front of all participants sharing their “winning trophy” for raising the highest totals for Lee Denim Day.

Dr. Alice Chandler, interim president at Ramapo College of New Jersey, shares a story by Dr. Seuss with the youngest Ramapo “students” at the Child Development Center on campus.

The Ahn Trio appeared at the Berrie Center, then gave an encore performance by teaching a session of Professor Mack Brandon’s Music Performance and Recording for a day, sharing with students their journey from aspiring musicians to professional performers.
