Reception Unites Scholarship Donors and Recipients
A very special evening on campus brought together over
100 scholarship recipients and the donors whose generosity make an
education at Ramapo possible. Mark W. Grannon, immediate past chair
of the Foundation Board of Governors, and Dr. Alice Chandler, interim
president of Ramapo College, presented certificates to students acknowledging
their achievement and awarded certificates of appreciation to donors
for providing and sustaining scholarship assistance.
Yasmine Redjem-Saad, a senior who is a recipient of the Frank E. and Lillian A. Mutter Scholarship, and Rosa Pena, a junior who is a recipient of the Fred and Florence Thomases Scholarship and the David Blauer Memorial Scholarship, gave opening remarks.They thanked the donors for making their dream of a college education a reality. Florence Thomases, a member of the original Board of Trustees of Ramapo College, shared with the audience the satisfaction of being a benefactor.
Students, their parents, and donors shared a buffet, stories, handshakes,
and hugs on this very special night.
