On December 30, 2000, the couple celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in the York Room surrounded by family and many friends who also attended Ramapo in the 70s.

“Ramapo has always held a special place in our hearts,” said Maryann, who holds a paralegal certification and runs a home sewing business. Gerry is a senior staff attorney at the Legal Aid Society of Morristown and is currently an adjunct at Ramapo, teaching a course in constitutional law. Back in 1973, Gerry was class valedictorian and editor-in-chief of The Paper. Both Maryann and Gerry were members of the original orientation group at Ramapo, arriving before the first students to organize a newspaper, literary magazine, and other activities at the new college.
