Alumni Art Auction If you’ve ever taken a sculpture class with professors Jay Wholley or Judith Peck, or looked through a lens with Shalom Gorewitz or David Freund—then you know the beauty and importance of art. According to Kristan Matthews, chair of the Alumni Art Auction Committee, the Alumni Art Auction, held on April 26, served two purposes: to continue the appreciation of art by offering works for all tastes, and to raise money for student scholarships and the volunteer projects of the New Alumni Committee. Attendees also agreed that the art auction provided a perfect opportunity to enjoy the good company of Ramapo’s family of alumni, staff, faculty, and local community members at the wine and cheese reception.
