DCD Honors Community Leaders
Each year four outstanding members of the community are recognized at the Ramapo College Foundations Distinguished Citizens Dinner. A highlight of the year, the dinners proceeds provide funds for student scholarships, faculty development opportunities and grants for campus projects. Honored this year were Michael W. Azzara (Valley Health System, Inc.), Elizabeth G. Christopherson (New Jersey Network), John Durkin `75 (Garban LLC Government Bond Brokerage), and Douglas L. Kennedy (Summit Bancorp). This years event was held at the Rockleigh County Club with entertainment by 50s rock n roll group The Platters.
Each year an alumnus is honored during the Ramapo College Foundations Distinguished Citizens Dinner for outstanding contributions to the college and community. Jack Daniels 77 and President Robert A. Scott congratulate the 2000 honoree, John Durkin 75. Durkin is vice president at Garban LLC Government Bond Brokerage in New York City and president of the Ramapo College Alumni Association Board of Directors. |
