One of the earliest popular events of the ancient Greek Olympics was the pentathlon, in which the athlete competed in not one, but five sports: discus, javelin throwing, wrestling, long jump, and the sprint. With five interdisciplinary schools of study, an education at Ramapo College of New Jersey, like the pentathlon, exemplifies proficiency in more than one event. Just as athletic training provides a balance of mind and body, our liberal arts foundation provides students the training and skills to go the distance with a well-rounded curriculum.
In fact, 98 percent of alumni from the 1980s and 97 percent from the 1990s were successfully employed or enrolled in graduate school. With a solid liberal arts foundation, a 300-acre wooded campus, new residential facilities, and a 17 to 1 student-to-faculty ratio – it’s no wonder U.S.News & World Report© ranks Ramapo College of New Jersey among the top two northern public comprehensive colleges. Which is why some of the greatest achievers in history could have set their goals in flight here. And why some of the future achievers choose to today. |
