Student Editors

  • Melanie Robertson ’24 (co-editor-in-chief): Melanie Robertson is a junior majoring in Law and Society with minors in Crime and Justice Studies and Human Rights and Genocide Studies. Her leadership qualities are reflected in her experiences of founding and presiding over the Law School Prep Club, serving as a Resident Assistant, and being a member of the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. As one of the new editors of RJOLAS, Melanie is committed to amplifying the voices of her peers by showcasing their exceptional writing talent.
  • Simran Singh ’24 (co-editor-in-chief): Simran Singh is a Junior Law and Society Major and Psychology Minor. She is a part of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, a Debate Club Member, and the Secretary and Treasurer of the Law School Prep Club. As one of the new editors of RJOLAS, she is highly dedicated to enriching students’ writing and utilizing this role as an opportunity to network with brilliant educated minds nationwide.
  • Jake Higuera ’25: Jake is a sophomore Political Science student. He is involved in numerous clubs and organizations on campus, as well as being a guitar instructor. As someone planning on attending law school, Jake is looking forward to working with likeminded people at the Ramapo Journal of Law and Society.
  • Giovanna LaMonica ’25: Giovanna LaMonica is a sophomore Law and Society major with a minor in Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies. She is also a member of the College Honors Program, a consultant at the Center for Reading and Writing and the Vice President of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, as well as involved in numerous other organizations on campus. As a new editor for the Ramapo Journal of Law and Society, she looks forward to working with likeminded individuals to expand knowledge on sociolegal issues in the world today.
