Message from Student Assistants

From Danielle:

As one of the first students in the redesigned College Honors Program, a Student Executive Board member, and an assistant in the College Honors office, the goals and ideals of the program have been become my own as well. My roles involve planning and executing events, assisting with the application process for new students, and improving the Honors community in any way possible. I'm also a Peer Facilitator in the HNRS 101 First Course Seminar, and am here as a resource for all of the College Honors students, both new and old! Stop by the office or stop me in the hall anytime for questions about the program, requirements, events, or any suggestions/concerns you may have!
~ Danielle Mazza, Chemistry major, TAS, Class of 2012. dmazza1@ramapo.edu.

From Antonio:

Between being a member of the College Honors Program Student Executive Board, and a Peer Faciliator in the HNRS First Course Seminar, I consider myself a resource for College Honors students regarding all the benefits the college has to offer. I bring my knowledge from the Center for Academic Advisement and First Year Experience. I am more than happy to help in any way that I can. I also serve broader purposes such as planning and executing events for the Honors Program. Please feel free to ask me anything you would like to know about the program or the school in general!
~ Antonio Regalado, History major, AIS, Class of 2013. aregalad@ramapo.edu.

From Amanda:

This is my first year on the Student Executive Board and as an assistant in the College Honors office. I’m really looking forward to serving our Honors community in any way possible, and am especially excited to have the opportunity to interact with all of its members. Feel free to let me know about any questions, concerns or ideas you may have: I’m here to help!
~ Amanda Skuriat, Engineering Physics major, Mathematics minor, Teacher Education, Class of 2014. askuriat@ramapo.edu.

Thank You!

We extend our special appreciation to College Honors student artist Jessica Huynh for her redesign of our graduation regalia medallion. Jessica’s design was selected as capturing the spirit of EXPLORAMVS. LACESSIMVS. COLIMVS. – We Explore. We Challenge. We Cultivate. Her design represents the themes of growth, community, and liberal arts learning throughout all the schools at Ramapo College. And, thank you to the Student Executive Board for their decision on expressing these themes, vetting the artist entries submitted from students throughout the College and working with staff to execute the medallion. We also give our special thanks to College Honors student Sarah McConkey for her translation of the text to Latin!
