Graduate Admissions: Frequently Asked Questions
What are the requirements for admissions to a graduate program at Ramapo College?
- Bachelor degree from an accredited institution with a minimum grade point average of 3.0
- An essay describing why the candidate is interested in the program, how it fits into personal intellectual development, and what the applicant expects to accomplish by enrolling.
- Two letters of recommendation
- Some programs may have additional requirements. For contact information on the individual departments please visit the graduate program Web site.
What is the deadline to apply to graduate programs?
All Graduate Programs at Ramapo College utilize a rolling admissions procedure in which applications are processed as they are received. Applications will no be reviewed until they are complete. Applications are strongly encouraged to apply as early possible.
What is the application fee?
The application fee is $60. When submitting the Web application you may pay your application fee by credit card at the end of the application process.
If you apply using a paper application you must pay your fee by check or money order. Make your $60 check payable to Ramapo College of New Jersey.

How do I apply as a non-degree seeking student?
Print, complete the Graduate Non-degree application (PDF) and mail it to the appropriate department with a check for $60 written to Ramapo College of New Jersey. Official transcripts from all colleges attended must also be submitted. You may request a paper application at (201) 684-7270 or graduate@ramapo.edu. You could also contact the individual program offices for specific questions.
