Graduate Admissions Requirements
Application Form
- All Graduate applicants must submit the application form with a non-refundable $60 application fee.
- A check or money order payable to Ramapo College of New Jersey must be included. Please print the applicant’s name on the front of the check or money order.
- Applications without payment will be considered incomplete and will not be reviewed.
Application Deadlines
- All Graduate Programs at Ramapo College utilize a rolling admissions procedure in which applications are processed as they are received. Applications will not be reviewed until they are complete. Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply as early possible.
Personal Statement
For MBA applicants, please provide a written statement describing why you wish to pursue an MBA at Ramapo College, including your short and long term aspirations (500 word minimum).
Interview
Once all application requirements are submitted, an interview with the director or appropriate faculty representative may be required.
Two Letters of Reference
- Provide letter of reference forms to two individuals who can appraise your academic performance, pertinent work experience, and/or ability to pursue a graduate degree.

Official Transcripts
- Minimum 3.00 cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) earned in baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution or demonstrated exceptional professional experience as determined in writing by the Dean of the respective academic unit determining admissions.
- Official transcripts are required from all institutions previously attended by the applicant.
- The transcripts of applicants submitting international credentials must be translated to English and evaluated by World Education Services.
Immunization Requirements
All students who will be taking classes at Ramapo College of New Jersey are required to complete and return the Immunization Form.
Additional Requirements
MA Liberal Studies Program:

MA Sustainability Studies Program:
- Curriculum vitae
- GRE recommended
MBA Master of Business Administration Program:
- Resume, including current position, employment background and education.
MS Educational Technology Program:
- A state-issued teaching certificate if you possess one.
MS Nursing Education Program:
- Transcripts documenting graduation from a National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited baccalaureate degree nursing program, or transcripts documenting graduation from an NLNAC accredited diploma or associate degree nursing program with a non-nursing baccalaureate degree.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New Jersey, or eligibility for the licensure.
- Evidence of successful completion of the Transition Program for applications with non-nursing baccalaureate degrees.
- Evidence of one year recent experience as a Registered Nurse prior to entry into clinical practicum courses.
- Evidence of undergraduate Statistics course.
- Satisfactory completion of criminal background check.
