Ways to Give
Cash
You can support Ramapo College and the Foundation through simple contributions payable by currency, check, or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express). If you work at Ramapo College, you can even make contributions through payroll deduction.
Stock and Other Securities*
If you own shares of stock, mutual funds, or other types of securities, you can use those to help support Ramapo College. Individuals may be able to avoid capital gains taxes by donating appreciated stocks to the College. Stocks, mutual funds, or other types of securities can be transferred directly to the College through the Foundation.
Real Estate*
A substantial way to establish an endowment or benefit a College program is through a contribution of real property. Significant tax savings also may be realized by donating a real estate asset from an estate.
Planned Giving*
Did you know that you could make a significant gift to the College by simply naming Ramapo College as a beneficiary of your will, retirement plan, or life insurance policy? In 2005, Ramapo launched a Pooled Income Fund and a Annuity Program. Planned giving is an excellent way to help Ramapo students and support College programs. The Executive Director is available to discuss this opportunity with you in greater detail.
Matching Gifts
Does your employer match gifts to non-profit or educational organizations? If so, then you may be able to double or triple your gift to Ramapo College and the Foundation through matching gifts.
Gifts-In-Kind*
Have you ever considered donating a subscription to a major periodical to Ramapo's library – or maybe equipment, an art collection or a professional service? If so, then you are like many other Ramapo supporters who have helped further the programs of the College and its schools through gifts-in-kind.
*The transfer of gifts other than cash should be discussed with the Executive Director in advance to ensure that they are received and applied according to your wishes.
