Giving: Supporting Capital Projects

Anisfield School of Business
In 2007 the business faculty moved into the first academic building built on the Ramapo campus since its founding. In recognition of their $3.2 contributions toward the building's construction and of the business program, the building was named the Anisfield Building and the business school renamed the Anisfield School of Business in honor of Richard and Millicent Anisfield. Your major gift can name a faculty office or specialized classroom in the Anisfield Building, or provide program support to the business faculty through an endowment.
Sharp Sustainability Education Center
Major funding from Sharp Electronics allowed the College to begin construction on a new Sustainability Education Center in 2007. The Center, to be completed in 2009, is planned as a model structure for sustainable practices in building design and building operation. The Center will serve as a hub for educational programs in the field for area K-12 school children and their teachers, Ramapo College environmental students and faculty, and people in the larger community including government leaders, educators, and business groups. Faculty and staff in the Center will work closely with staff of the Meadowlands Environment Center to design and implement programming.
Salameno Spiritual Center
Ramapo College with the support of our donors embraced the proposal to have a spiritual center dedicated to spiritual reflection, meditation and peace. The site of the Salameno Spiritual Center adjacent to Kameron Pond provides the perfect setting for a reflective space on campus. The unique buildings that comprise the Salameno Spiritual Center, the Padavano Peace Pavilion, the McBride Meditation Room and the Marino Meditation Room have been designed to provide meeting space and space for individual reflection.
