Ellie Krieger

Ellie Krieger is host and executive producer of the public television show Ellie’s Real Good Food, and formerly host of the Food Network’s hit show Healthy Appetite. She has received two James Beard Foundation awards and an International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) award, and she is a two-time New York Times bestselling author. Her most recent book is WHOLE IN ONE: Complete, Healthy Meals in a Single Pot, Sheet Pan, or Skillet (October 2019 ). She holds a degree in clinical nutrition from Cornell and a master’s degree in nutrition from Columbia University.

Sara Moulton

Sara Moulton is the host of the television series “Sara’s Weeknight Meals.”

A protégée of Julia Child, Sara was the co-founder of the New York Women’s Culinary Alliance, executive chef of Gourmet magazine, Food Editor of ABC-TV’s ”Good Morning America,” and the host of several well-loved shows on the Food Network during that channel’s first decade. Sara is the author of Sara Moulton Cooks at Home (2002), Sara’s Secrets for Weeknight Meals (2005) and Sara Moulton’s Everyday Family Dinners (2010) and Sara Moulton’s Home Cooking 101: How To Make Everything Taste Better, a cookbook that was featured at the Havemeyer Edible Garden’s dinner and teaching manual aimed at making readers more confident and efficient in the kitchen.

Maria Loi

Maria Loi is best known as the official ambassador of Greek gastronomy by the Chef’s Club of Greece. She has owned Loi Estiatoria since 2015. She has authored 34 cookbooks, cooked for President Barack Obama and guests at the White House and has a line of pasta, dips and cookware. She has also made numerous TV appearances boasting about the benefits and joys of cooking and eating Greek food.

Hiroko Simbo

Hiroko Simbo is recognized as one of the most knowledgeable and influential chefs on Japanese cuisine. She is a chef-instructor, author and culinary consultant. Her teaching specialties include sushi and ramen, and intensive courses on basic and advanced Japanese cooking. Hiroko has written three award-winning cookbooks: The Japanese Kitchen, The Sushi Experience and Hiroko’s American Kitchen. Hiroko is the host of tours to Japan where guests are totally immersed

Marion Nestle

Marion Nestle is the author of six prize-winning books: Food Politics: How the Food Industry Influences Nutrition and Health; Safe Food: The Politics of Food Safety; What to Eat; Why Calories Count: From Science to Politics; Eat, Drink Vote: An Illustrated Guide to Food Politics; and Soda Politics: Taking on Big Soda. She also has written two books about pet food, Pet Food Politics: The Chihuahua in the Coal Mine & Feed Your Pet Right in 2010. Her most recent book, Unsavory Truth: How Food Companies Skew the Science of What We Eat, was published in 2018. Dr. Nestle received the James Beard Leadership Award in 2013. In 2018, she was named one of the UC Berkeley School of Public Health’s 75 most distinguished graduates, won a Trailblazer Award from the IACP and was selected Grande Dame of the year by Les Dames d’Escoffier International.

Joan Dye Gussow

Joan Dye Gussow, is Professor emerita of the Nutrition Education Program at Teacher College, Columbia, University. She is best known as a critic of the US food system. She wrote The Feeding Web: Issues in Nutritional Ecology discussing environmental hazards to the food supply. Her manifesto made her one of the most prophetic and influential food thinkers in America. At age 91, Gussow currently lives, writes and grows organic vegetables on the west bank of the Hudson River.

THE VEGETARIAN FLAVOR BIBLE is a beautifully illustrated reference book for all. It begins with the history of vegetarianism through the ages, followed by chapters detailing practical tips and methods to improve flavor without adding calories. The book also discusses the nuanced differences between taste, mouth-feel, aroma and the X factor and how these contribute to a totally yummy vegetarian experience.

Corinne Trang

Corinne Trang was born in France’s Loire Valley. Her mother is French and her father Cambodian-Chinese. Trang was raised in Phnom Penh, Paris and New York. She is the author of several award-winning books: Authentic Vietnamese Cooking, Essentials of Asian Cuisine, The Asian Grill, A Food Lover’s Companion: Vietnamese, and Noodles Every Day.

Mark Winne

Winne is a Ridgewood native; he now resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico. His Closing the Food Gap: Resetting the Table in the Land of Plenty was published in 2008 and established that hungry America isn’t feeding its masses nutritiously nor eco-consciously enough. Winne’s new book, Food Rebels, Guerrilla Gardeners, and Smart Cookin’ Mamas, will be released in September. It challenges Americans to go beyond eating local to become part of a larger solution, demanding a system that sustains body and soul.
