Information Technology Serivces: Instructional Design Center

The Instructional Design Center is a place where faculty and staff can do computing in a calm, supportive environment, rich in technologies and knowledgeable consultants. The center provides:

  • Special software and hardware like color scanners and video cameras
  • Various computer platforms
  • Guides to use equipment and programs
  • Answers to questions: phone, e-mail, on-site consultants
  • Teaching assistants available at scheduled and varied times
  • Information sources for self-learning
One of the most important facets of the Instructional Design Center's mission is to provide faculty and staff up-to-date resources and training to manage professional responsibilities and teach with the technologies. Here faculty and staff can read or download program guides like Claris HomePage and use equipment like UMAX scanners or sign up for one the SmartForce computer-based training courses or attend a hardware or software demonstration.

Faculty and staff can obtain support for developing a special project or resolving a problem using software from the center's student assistant consultants.
