Housekeeping is that division of Facilities that is responsible for the interior cleanliness of all campus buildings. In addition, Housekeeping is responsible for all "setups" to support the College Events and Conference operation.

Requests for a special set up for a meeting or conference should be done thru the Events and Conferences office at extension 7590.

Requests for Housekeeping services (carpet cleaning, moving of boxes, etc.) should be done through a work order. Contact repairs@ramapo.edu.

Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) is for all indoor air quality standards through out the College. A computerized Energy Management System maintains constant temperatures in all Academic Buildings and monitors all air handling equipment. Air quality concerns can be called into the Office of Facilities Hot Line at extension 7660 or requested via e-mail to repairs@ramapo.edu.

*Helpful Hints*

All lock and key problems should be called into either the Office of Facilities at extension 7660 or Campus Security at extension 7432.

Most new office furniture comes with extra keys. At least one of each key should be labeled (location, use) and turned into the Office of Facilities, to be kept on file with the Locksmith. This will make duplication of keys or replacement of lost keys easier.

Keys should not be transferred to another person under any circumstances. To maintain campus security, all keys should be turned into the Office of Facilities.

Building Maintenance and Repairs is the true "support " arm of the Office of Facilities. Interior and exterior repairs and minor renovations are handled by the staff of electricians, plumbers, carpenter and locksmith, as well as a team of general repairers.

All emergencies are responded to as quickly as possible.

General service calls are scheduled by the Supervisors.

Snow Removal Priorities

• clear all main roadways
• all college walkways
• clear fire hydrants, emergency phones and
• handicapped ramps and cutouts.

Problems such as no power, elevator malfunctions, plumbing leaks/clogs, no heat/AC any lock related problem, etc. are considered health, safety and security issues and should be called into the service line at extension 7660.

All requests for Phone Service should be called into extension 7013.

All requests for cable TV problems should be called into extension 7400.

*For emergencies dial the Facilities Service Line at extension 7660.

Any emergencies that occur between 4 p.m. and 7a.m. should be reported to Security at extension 7432.
