Melissa Diane Ailiff is serving in the Peace Corps in the Ukraine. Currently, she lives in Nizhyn, a community of 78,000, with three other Peace Corps volunteers. She is in a training program, teaching English at a gymnasia, an advanced learning school, and a middle school, similar to those in the United States. She cites a lack of resources for the children she works with. For example, in a school of 500 students, there is one computer classroom with one computer available for Internet access. When she completes the training program, Ailiff will be transferred to a permanent location in the Ukraine.
