Whether you are working, raising children, or changing professional pursuits, you can complete your undergraduate degree at Ramapo College of New Jersey through our innovative and focused degree completion programs. Combining on-line and classroom study, you can learn on your own terms and complete your degree in as little as two years. Our degree completion programs enable graduates to gain the perspectives and skills needed to succeed, advance or re-enter the workforce today. Our Accelerated Adult Degree Completion Program in Social Science allows you to apply your life experiences and previously earned college credits to an academic program that will provide you with the skills necessary to succeed in a rapidly changing world. These skills include critical thinking, effective communication, global understanding, and effective teamwork. In particular, the social science major will combine courses in criminal justice, substance abuse, disability law, and other topics of pressing social concern into a coherent whole. Upon completing of this degree, you will be prepared to reenter the workforce or seek job advancement in fields as diverse as paralegal studies, law enforcement, human resources, and related fields in law, justice, and public health.
This innovative degree completion program is designed for working adults who wish to pursue courses in accelerated and on-line formats.

1. Am I Eligible for the Program?
In order to enroll in the degree completion program, you must:
- Be at least 25 year of age.
- Have earned an associate’s degree or have 60 college credits. (Students may transfer a maximum of 80 credits from previously attended institutions).
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.0
- Complete an Application for Admission
- Submit one letter of recommendation
- Present official transcripts from all previously attended colleges

Ramapo College offers you a convenient way to complete your degree through our new Degree Completion Programs. At Ramapo you will find an adult friendly environment where the curriculum has been designed around the needs of non traditional students. A network of student services professionals including Enrollment Management, Academic Advising, Career Services and Financial Aid work tirelessly to make sure students have the attention and dedication they require to succeed.

Students may transfer a maximum of 80 credits to Ramapo College. Those credits may include:
- Credits from previously attended American institutions. Students who attended foreign institutions must have their official transcripts evaluated by World Education Services WES to determine if credits meet Ramapo College's academic standards.
- Life experience credits - PLEX
- College Level Examination Program - CLEP
Upon admission, ALP students are assigned an academic advisor who will guide them throughout their studies at Ramapo. Academic advisors meet with students individually and participate actively in the Adult Learners Program student orientation. ALP will provide specific workshops and other adult enrichment and support programs.
The Center for Reading and Writing provides English and Math review sessions for students prior to taking the placement test (Accuplacer) to help refresh their skills. ALP students are encouraged to visit the Center for Reading and Writing (CRW) where they can fully utilize the resources.
All Ramapo College services will be available to ALP students, including Bradley Center Athletic facilities, The George T. Potter Library, Parking and Food Services. Some services are available during evenings and weekends.
