Academic Advisement

The Center for Student Success provides a comprehensive introduction to the academic and social environment of the Ramapo College community with a focus on the success and retention of all students. Center for Student Success provides a wide range of services including Orientation, Academic Advisement, Retention Programs, and Personal Development Workshops. Center for Student Success serves as the primary resource for Academic Advisement for all community members and works collaboratively with faculty and staff in offering optimal services to our students.

George Potter Library

Open until midnight Sunday through Thursday, the Library is open seven days a week in session. There is plenty space to read, study and prepare. With over 160,000 books, thousands of videos and endless online resources, the Potter Library should provide the foundation for your studies.

Tutoring Services

The Center for Reading and Writing offers one-on-one, face-to-face tutoring in writing, reading, and study skills.  We encourage ALL students to visit the Center, whether you want to improve your reading, learn strategies for strengthening your writing, brush up on study skills, or attend a workshop.

The Center offers Student Workshops on a range of topics from the research paper to MLA, APA, and Turabian/Chicago style guides. These 30-45 minute workshops are facilitated by Center staff, faculty, and peer tutors.

College Bookstore

The College Bookstore is a resource for new, rented and used textbooks, trade books, magazines, software, supplies, clothing, snacks, music, and more. Open until 10 p.m. Monday through Friday in semester, the College Bookstore is your source for pens, paper, and peanuts. For your convenience, you can order online.

Cahill Career Center

The Cahill Center offers a comprehensive array of programs, services, and activities The programs include Career Services with workshops, panels, and seminars as well as individual and group counseling sessions, online career guidance, Job Fairs, and job search strategies.

The new Handshake online job search service links employers, students, alumni, and graduate students.

Dining Services

Dining services are available until 1 a.m. every day. From a early evening snack in The Atrium food court to a full meal in the Birch Tree Inn, students at Ramapo College will find dining services to meet their needs. If you need a bottle of water, diet soda, or a bag of chips, the Convenience Store in the Trustees Pavilion will be there for you until 11 p.m. every day.

Robert Scott Student Center

The Robert Scott Student Center is the “living room” of the campus.  The Center houses the Birch Tree Inn and The Atrium, the College Bookstore, the J. Lee’s game room and student lounge as well as plenty of space to spread out and relax.

Public Safety and Parking

Students will find acres of parking on the campus near the Academic Complex. Parking is by permit, easily obtained online.

The College’s Public Safety Department monitors the campus 24/7 with active patrols and electronic systems. A campus-wide “blue box” system supports their efforts.
