Welcome to Ramapo College, New Jersey's Public Liberal Arts College. Set in the beautiful foothills of the Ramapo Mountains, and adjacent to the New York state border, Ramapo is a young college grounded in a deep commitment to a liberal arts curriculum founded on the four pillars of interdisciplinarity, international education, intercultural understanding and experiential learning.
At Ramapo, we seek to educate our students on how to think critically in analyzing and solving problems and how to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. We have had a good Fall semester at Ramapo College.
Let me begin with the students. We had the largest class ever, with 939 full- time first-time freshmen. They hail from every county in the state of New Jersey, from eight other states and from six different countries. Their average SAT scores are approximately 1,160 and they stand roughly in the top 23% of their class ... |
