The Advanced Credit Program - College Courses for High School Students
The summer months can be used to advantage for serious
high school students who want to begin their college careers early.
The Ramapo College Summer Sessions offer a wide range of introductory
courses in the humanities, social science, and science at the college
level. In addition, credit-bearing courses are offered in the Ramapo
College Athletics Center for students who wish to participate in physical
and sports activities. Ramapo College summer courses, given in a shorter,
more intensive schedule than regular semester courses, give students
an opportunity to focus on course content and develop their critical
reading and writing skills. Classes during the summer are generally
small and the relaxed atmosphere of the college campus creates a positive
learning environment.
Summer courses are available to high achieving rising seniors who have completed high school honors courses. Students may register for many lower level (100-200) courses and may take a maximum of two college courses during the summer at Ramapo. Students wishing to take College English I and Calculus must arrange for a placement test by contacting Wanda Kosinski for English Placement Testing at 201-684-7560, or Marion Berger for Calculus Entrance Testing at 201-684-7711.
Students should complete the Student Information Form for Non-Degree
Seeking Students. If you have further questions, please contact the
Admissions Office at (201) 684-7300, 7301.
