New Student Checklist
Orientation:
• Freshmen will receive an invitation in early May.
• Transfer and readmit students should sign up for their Orientation.
Immunizations: All immunization paperwork must be submitted to Student Health Services no later than July 1. Immunization information was mailed in your acceptance packet, but can also be accessed at the Health and Counseling Web Site .
Residential Students: If you have not submitted proof of the meningitis vaccine, you will not be permitted to reside in campus housing, (not even overnight). Detailed information at the Health and Counseling Web Site .
Testing and Placement: In order to register for your Fall classes, you must either take placement tests at Ramapo (at least two weeks prior to your summer orientation date), or you must have the test scores which exempt you from testing sent to the college at least two weeks prior to your summer orientation date. You can also consult the Testing Web Site for practice tests, and scores which determine course placements:

MyRamapo Account: Remember, all students must set up their MyRamapo account by Thursday, June 21st (mailing sent out mid June) in order to receive certain mailings and announcements, register for classes, and access your bill. If you need assistance setting up your account, call the Help Desk at (201) 684-6831.
High School Transcripts: Your high school should send your final official transcript indicating graduation to the Admissions Office at Ramapo College, 505 Ramapo Valley Road, Mahwah, NJ 07430. The Admissions Office will contact you if they have not received your transcripts.
Financial Aid: Questions about financial aid should be directed to the Financial Aid Office, (201) 684-7549, or finaid@ramapo.edu.
Billing: All students receive their bill online through their MyRamapo account. A PAPER BILL WILL NOT BE SENT IN THE MAIL. Bills will be available online in early July (if you attended one of the June Summer Orientations), or after you register for classes at one of the July Summer Orientations. Fall bills must be paid by July 25. You will receive a separate mailing about the monthly payment option plan in late May. To view your account online, click on the My Courses Tab; select Academic Services, select Administrative Services; select Student and Financial Aid; select Student Records (a pull down menu) and then select the “Account Summary” screen. Parking Permits for the School Year: ALL student vehicles parked on campus must have a valid parking permit (decal) permanently affixed to the lower right corner of the left-side rear window. Parking decals can be obtained at
www.ThePermitStore.com starting mid August. However, you do not pay online; you are billed through the Bursar’s office. You will receive an email confirmation from
ThePermitStore.com confirming the creation of your account, and after you receive the parking permit in the mail, simply go to ThePermitStore.com to activate the permit. For detailed information on parking, see the
