Shuttle / Bus Services

On-Campus Shuttle Service
(Subject to change due to construction)

The on-campus shuttle runs daily 8 p.m. - 2 a.m. Departing from the Student Center parking lot on its first run, it makes continuous loops of the campus every 30 minutes. The designated on-campus shuttle stops are:

• Student Center parking lot
• Willow Way and Woods Road
• Upper Pine Drive (between A-3 and B-3 parking lots)
• The Village, at the Thomases Commons
• Front of Sports and Recreation Center
• Reserved Parking Circle area
• Oak/Maple parking lot
• Front of Palm Apartments
• Front of Holly Apartments
• College Park Apartment laundry room
• Front of Sycamore Apartments
• Front of International Apartments
• The Overlook

Campus shuttle riders must assemble at the posted on-campus shuttle stops. Riders should not stand or walk in the roadways attempting to flag down the on-campus shuttle unless an emergency condition exists. Disruptive or dangerous behavior is prohibited. Alleged violators may be referred to the Judicial Affairs Office and will be removed from the on-campus shuttle by RCNJ Security or Mahwah Police. Guests of residents may use the on-campus shuttle service by displaying their Guest Pass.

Shuttle leaves campus at 6:30 p.m. and makes a DROP OFF ONLY at the SUFFERN and MAHWAH TRAIN SATIONS. ALL MALL RIDERS must be on the shuttle at 6:30 p.m. Shuttle continues onto the MALL. Shuttle leaves MALL at 9:15 p.m. Return trip from the MALL includes PICK UP ONLY at 9:45 p.m. and 9:50 p.m. from the MAHWAH TRAIN STATION and the SUFFERN BUS/TRAIN STATION.

• Monday: Paramus Park
• Tuesday: Garden State Plaza
• Wednesday: Palisades Center
• Thursday: Palisades Center
• Friday: Garden State Plaza

SATURDAY MALL TRIP
Off-Campus Shuttle Service

Shuttle leaves campus at 5 p.m. and makes stops DROP OFF (ONLY) stop at the SUFFERN and MAHWAH TRAIN STATIONS. Shuttle continues onto the MALL. Shuttle leaves MALL at 9:15 p.m. ALL MALL RIDERS MUST be on the shuttle by 5 p.m. Return trip from the MALL includes PICK UP ONLY at 9:45 p.m. form the SUFFERN and MAHWAH TRAIN STATIONS.

• Saturday: Palisades Mall

SUNDAY MALL TRIP

Shuttle leaves campus at 2 p.m. and returns at 5:15 p.m. No train stops on Sunday other than the LOCAL LOOP.

365 Day New York City Bus Service Ticket and Fare Information

• Tickets are sold at Roadrunner Central ext. 7933 2nd Floor Scott Student Center. Tickets expire the last day of the calendar year.
• Discount Price (one-way) $6 Students, $8 faculty, staff with valid Ramapo I.D. Tickets are full price on bus. All tickets are non-refundable.
• Tickets are valid for all stops from Port Authority to Suffern and, Suffern to Port Authority.
• Valid Ramapo I.D. must be presented on the bus.  
  
• Short Line Bus Schedule available online: www.shortlinebus.com. Check the Short Line Schedule for reduced service on holidays.
• In addition to The Circle stops, use 7-day local Loop to connect to Short Line Bus and NJ Transit.
• Any passenger requesting an ADA-Accessible bus must inform ShortLine no later than 48 hrs. prior to departure.
